Mr. Robert graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology in 1989 and started his career in the environmental industry as a field geologist/water sampling technician. After two years of fieldwork, Mr. Robert began managing gasoline station, refinery, metal plating facility, container manufacturing, and dry cleaning environmental assessment and remediation projects in more than 30 states.

Mr. Robert joined SALEM in 2011 and brings over 30 years of environmental assessment and remediation experience in a wide variety of projects. Mr. Robert is responsible for overseeing all aspects of SALEM’s Phase II soil, soil vapor, and groundwater environmental projects including client coordination, site and regulatory agency research, investigation technical approach and design, data analysis, and report preparation. He commonly supervises field activities related to removal of underground storage tanks, soil, soil vapor, and groundwater investigations, vapor intrusion investigations, soil vapor extraction, chemical fixation (in-situ and ex-situ) of metals in soil, and groundwater remediation at commercial and industrial facilities.  He interprets field data and compiles work plans, pilot study programs, health and safety plans, sampling and analysis plans, site assessment reports, remedial action plans, conceptual site models, and other technical reports.  He has successfully negotiated with numerous regulatory agencies on behalf of clients to achieve no further action determinations and/or work scope reductions at great monetary savings to his clients.
